About Meg
Megan O’Rourke is a photographer whose work explores portraiture, fashion, fine art and documentary concepts. She is originally from Long Island, New York. O’Rourke graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in May 2022 with her BFA in Photography and a double minor in Creative Technology and Art History.
O’Rourke shot the cover of her school’s student-run publication, Blush Magazine for its Spring 2021 issue, “The Valiance Issue.” Her first documentary photo series, “An Irish Goodbye,” was displayed in a virtual show called, “Lost Connection” in December of 2020. She displayed her Senior Thesis, “In My Solitude,” in a group show titled “Where the Light Catches” alongside her graduating classmates in May of 2022. The same series was then exhibited at Bushwick Open Studios as part of the Essential Music and Art Show in September of 2022. In December of 2022, her work was exhibited in Soho Photo Gallery as a part of the show Moving Forward: The Future of Photography.
